The natural world has always shaped life on Earth, influencing people in the past, people today, and other species.
In recent years, we have become more aware of the impacts of humanity upon our world through the growing awareness of climate change. Often, those most affected by climate change have contributed least to it, yet we are all experiencing the changing weather patterns it brings. Despite this, there are many ways people have learned, and are learning, to live more positively within the natural world.
This exhibition trail explores the how humanity has both shaped and been shaped by the natural world throughout history, through the prism of Eton’s museum collections. Discover the ways people have learned to live alongside nature, both in the past and today, and in turn what we can learn from each other to address the growing issues our planet faces.
