Join the Royal School of Needlework in a day-long workshop at Eton College on Saturday 23 September. The event will also include an opportunity to view key objects from Eton College Collections with Curator, Rebecca Tessier.
RSN Tutor, Sarah de Rousset-Hall will support attendees to create this stunning Goldwork Fleur de Lys brooch inspired by an early 19th century Montem salt bag, currently on display at the College in the special exhibition, Ad Montem: Eton’s Lost Procession.
The bag, since repurposed as a cushion, features the Eton College crest and motto ‘Floreat Etona’. It is this bag which has inspired the brooch design.
A limited number of bursary places are available for local practitioners, please contact Amy on [email protected] for more information.
