I am not drawn to tragedy: I believe that it is possible to overcome it and that in the end a ray of light will shine through. I try to express light and to express hope. That’s how I would sum up my ambition. (Sean Scully)
Untitled, 6.10.01 by Sean Scully (b. 1945), part of the college’s art collection, was displayed in this exhibition alongside other works by the celebrated abstract artist. Exhibits included etchings, watercolours, paintings and photographs, lent by Timothy Taylor Gallery and from a private collection.
