This was second of two ad-hoc exhibitions showing the range and variety of the College Library and Archives. It featured a selection of books and manuscripts used to support teaching by departments in the school, including medical books and photographs of China from the air. There were also books and photographs relating to Hamlet and autograph musical scores.
Also on display were some cricketing items and a game of skittles. James Bond is probably the most famous fictional Old Etonian, and the exhibition displayed some of the library’s Ian Fleming holdings. To complete this eclectic miscellany we chose some 18th century English bindings, items relating to Venice, and examples of books from the Strawberry Hill Press.
