This evocative exhibition presented images from both the First and Second World War – including photographs by the famous photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White but also by a series of teachers, in particular Peter Lawrence, who founded Eton’s photographic archive. Also featured were photographs whose origins we do not know, some of which are likely to have been taken by boys.
Curated by Roddy Fisher, Keeper of the Photographic Archive, and Charlotte Villiers, Exhibitions and Outreach Coordinator, with advice from Nigel Jacques.
